-BREEZE
Breeze trotted through unfamiliar woods as a lightning storm raged overhead. She flicked her ears, listening to the electric crackles in the air. Bright blue eyes examined the world ahead of her, and she considered everything carefully.
Finally, lightning struck down nearby. An explosion of bright white alerted her to it, and she broke into a hurried run. If she got there fast enough...
Success! The tree had lit on fire, and the blaze crackled hotly on the branches. She grinned as a pile of wood started growing as the flame burned the tree to its core.
She smiled and picked up a dry stick nearby, just big enough to hold firmly. She trotted over and, with a fearless dip of her head, lit her valuable torch.
She then turned and ran off. She had spied a cavern nearby, and she wanted to hide her treasured fire from the elements. If the fire went out, who knew how long it would be until another fire broke out in the woodland?
She trotted into the gaping cavern, finding comfort in the flame's soft glow. She found the cavern quite pretty.
She found the chamber at the end of the tunnel and gently placed the torch down, careful not to roll it, lest it be smothered. She then turned and pulled some fluffy underfur off her chest and added it to the flame. It lit quickly, as was expected, and the fire grew. She ran out and started pulling grass out from the fringes of the cave; the rain had not started yet. If she got the grass while it was dry, she could use it as tinder.
After ten minutes of feeding the Red Tongue, it was finally big enough to be pleasing and hard to kill. She'd ventured out and grabbed some large, dry sticks, snapping them off dead trees nearby.
She sighed and settled near the flames. She missed her Clan.
How would she recieve any food? There were no Herders to cull it and pull the hide off for bedding and ease of access to the flesh.
Were there any Dapplebacks here? Stripers? Treelings? Facetails? She sighed. She would have to find new animals to herd... If she could survive the attempt...
