Xentatia walked under the blazing sun of the desert, the hot sand only just warm beneath her thick-soled sandals. She had been on this trek for three days now, just on the very edge of the desert where the Lakes and ponds stopped and vegetation was scarce, but still there. Of course, the heat was nothing compared to that of her planets Binary suns, but it was a nice change she supposed. It was quite comical really; her land with it's double suns' and parched landscape could support an abundance of flora and fauna with only a single, large river flowing through it, yet this place seemed nearly dead despite with all of the water available. She sighed. It definitely would take some getting used to. She only hoped that one, she didn't die, and two, that her people would continue to live a long, prosperous life even with their ruler gone. Her brother Seramis was an accomplished leader and he would do well in her place.
She adjusted her sea-foam green hood around her head and trudged onward. Perhaps she would stumble upon a shelter of some sort; maybe somebody if she was lucky. Or unlucky, depending on the situation. Maybe there were thieves here, of the worst sort. She knew that her golden jewelry was worth a fortune where she came from, but what of here? She stopped and looked at the mountains in the very far distance. Maybe there was a settlement here where she could live. People who would take her in. She hoped so, as was the case with her people. Any in need found a welcoming hand waiting for them. Was it the same case here? She only hoped to find out. So her feet continued forward, searching for a place to rest.
