Not long ago, Arin had found himself faced with death as the young Saiyan's home planet had been completely destroyed by the space-tyrant Frieza- not a speck of it left in the galaxy. It all happened so fast. The ground started to tremble and a massive ball of energy collided with the planet. Cracks formed and everything began to dissipate- it was a complete nightmare. Everything was wiped out- dead, gone without a trace.
...Or so Arin thought he died.
Opening his eyes, Arin found himself sprawled across the ground in a forest of sorts. Working enough energy to get himself to his feet, Arin noticed he was clearly not in the best condition he had been in his life. Half of his shirt had been rippled off, and there were numerous other holes in his clothes. Everything was aching, and his left ankle stung a bit. At first, Arin just sat there, shocked. Was he actually alive? No. How would anyone be able to survive Frieza's Supernova attack? Then again... Standing up on his two feet, Arin pinched himself a couple of times to make sure he was not dead or something, only to flinch a bit when he felt pain. Then other things began to cross his mind as he looked around. Were there any other Saiyans around here? ...Was he the only Saiyan left? Never had he felt this isolated and alone before- but heck, his entire race had been supposedly wiped out in the blink of an eye. Knowing that he would probably need medical attention, Arin worked up enough strength to begin to walk around, sometimes stumbling over a fallen log.
After what he assumed to be about fifteen minutes of wandering, the wounded Saiyan's attention was brought to the sound of something falling nearby, causing him to jump a bit, but only to hold his side for a moment afterwards. Eyes locked onto the source of the sound, Arin waited for whatever was back there to reveal itself. He could sense that something alive was nearby, for sure. Arin knew he was in no shape to fight since he was all bruised up and half of his clothes torn and all, but his curiosity was peaked now, although he was still trembling somewhat from his previous near-death experience.
